What is a payment bracelet?
A payment bracelet is a bracelet with an integrated NFC chip that lets you pay at card terminals (Visa and Mastercard). You hold your wrist to the reader and the payment runs through your linked Visa or Mastercard. It needs no battery and no internet connection.
How does the PAGO bracelet work?
You connect your bank card once in the PAGOPACE app with the bracelet. After that you pay by holding your wrist to the terminal. Small amounts without a PIN, larger amounts with the usual PIN prompt.
Does the bracelet need a battery or power?
No. The NFC chip is passive and is powered by the terminal at the moment of payment. You never have to charge the bracelet.
Is the bracelet waterproof?
Yes. The PAGO bracelet is waterproof, you can keep it on for sport, swimming or showering.
Which size do I need?
The PAGO bracelet comes in two sizes: Small for 14 to 17 cm and Large for 18 to 21 cm wrist circumference. The Kids bracelet is designed for smaller wrists.
Is there a bracelet for kids?
Yes. The PAGO Kids bracelet is made especially for children, in five colours, robust and waterproof, so even the little ones can pay cash-free.
Which banks work with the bracelet?
Every Visa and Mastercard is compatible with the PAGO bracelet. Many cards work directly, including Revolut and Klarna. Almost any other card can be used via the free Curve app. You'll find the details in our banks section.
Is paying by bracelet secure?
Yes. Your card is stored as an encrypted token, not in plain text. For higher amounts the PIN is requested, and a lost card can be blocked at any time. The bracelet is at least as secure as a contactless card.
